Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Install marine barriers as per design specifications and quality & HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) standards.
2. Site Management:
- Oversee daily on site operations including labour, equipment and materials.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project.
3. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team including subcontractors and site personnel.
- Conduct regular meetings to communicate project goals, timelines and updates.
- Provide training and development opportunities to build team competencies and enhance performance.
4. Safety & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to protect the workforce and environment.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, industry standards and coastguard requirements.
5. Budget Management:
- Responsible for project budgets, tracking expenses and cost controls.
- Prepare and present financial reports for transparency and accountability.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors for cost effective solutions.
6. Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Be the primary point of contact for clients and address their concerns.* Build and maintain good relationships with clients, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering quality work on time.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Marine Engineering or related field.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
- 8 to 10 years of project management experience in marine construction industry.
- Understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting and cost control to achieve project success.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in marine environment.
- Proven track record of managing large marine barrier projects.
Physical Requirements:
- Can work effectively in different outdoor environments, on site at marine locations.
- Willing to travel frequently and work extended hours including weekends and holidays when required.
- Confident and comfortable in working on and around water based environments.
Key Skills:
- Deep understanding of marine construction methods, equipment and industry standards.
- Ability to plan, execute and monitor projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage project teams.
- Quick decision making skills, especially in high pressure situations.
