Roles & Responsibilities
Job Objectives:
To plan, organize, administer, and control training programs to ensure compatibility with evolving business and local requirements. This position focuses on training and developing key staff members, including Supervisors, Chefs, Cooks, Assistant Cooks, Housekeepers, Waiters, and public area cleaners, in accordance with Sodexo’s procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct induction programs for new joiners to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Guide newly recruited food production staff, waiters, and housekeeping staff through specialized service standards and fundamental service steps in the Food & Beverage and housekeeping departments.
- Assist the HR Manager in identifying training needs through a comprehensive Training Need Identification (TNI) exercise.
- Visit offshore vessels, rigs, and platforms to train teams, focusing on improving standards in food production, F&B service, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to prepare monthly and yearly training calendars and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Develop and conduct in-house training programs, ensuring that standards are understood and consistently met.
- Provide ongoing coaching and guidance for operational staff to maintain high-quality service standards.
- Update training materials regularly and maintain comprehensive training documentation and tools.
- Deliver continuing education and training for underperforming employees to improve their skills and productivity.
- Familiarize employees with method statements and job safety analyses to ensure workplace safety.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to track training progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback.
- Ensure training programs align with budget constraints and assess the return on investment of training initiatives.
