Job Responsibilities

The Product Development Technologist will support the Product Development Managers. They will be involved in developing, testing and scaling up new dairy products to meet the highest quality and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities:

Support Product Development Managers in planning and conducting pilot plant trials for new products.
Scale up trials from pilot plant to commercial production.
Maintain trial documentation.
Analyze trial results and provide technical solutions for any issues.
Troubleshoot during pilot plant or commercial trials.
Create bills of process for commercial runs.
Lead factory trial risk assessments and develop testing protocols across the production chain.
Collect data during commercial production and create final process recipes.

Requirements

Education: Tertiary in Dairy or Food Science (preferred).
Experience: At least 3 years of hands on experience in dairy product development or processing.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of dairy technology and processing.
Pilot plant trials and scaling up to commercial production.
Analytical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail.
Product categories: milk, fermented products, ice cream.
