As a Safety Officer you will be responsible for:
- Incident Investigation:
- Investigate accidents and incidents.
- Prepare reports to prevent future occurrences.
- Risk Assessments & Audits:
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Policy Development:
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Compliance to local, state and federal regulations.
- Safety Metrics Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze safety metrics.
- Communication & Awareness:
- Safety focal point for all safety related queries.
- Encourage open communication.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Organize and participate in safety drills and emergency response exercises.
- Industry Trends:
- Keep up to date with industry trends and legislation.
- Safety Campaigns:
- Promote safety through campaigns.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Diploma or Degree in OH&S, Environmental Science, Engineering or related fields.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, BOSIET, IOSH, H2S Awareness, PTW, STCW, SA Aramco Approval.
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of OH&S experience.
- 3-5 years of offshore safety experience.
